Seriousness and depth are the best ways to relieve stress. Now, as the serious depth of our thoughts becomes increasingly thin, communication becomes very ritualized and superficial. Then, this superficial form becomes even more important; what words you use, political correctness, politeness, and consideration for others' feelings—these very superficial emotions actually indicate that a person's energy is quite strong, but they become very fragile due to not facing the problem with enough seriousness and depth. Deep communication is a scarce remedy for stress; it requires seriousness and honesty, allowing us to let down our guard and express ourselves sincerely, thus truly linking with each other. This kind of deep nourishment is hard to come by. In reality, people often overly consider their mode of expression and whether they might offend, causing conversations to remain superficial and unable to touch the core. True stress relief lies in shedding disguises, analyzing oneself; relieving stress is self-relief.
