On August 25, at the WebX2025 event held in Japan, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba discovered multiple signals around Web3. He mentioned that the Osaka World Expo is utilizing Web3; emphasized the practical assistance of Web3 in solving local development challenges, such as attempting to invite external forces to participate in the governance of the "Samurai of the Sea" town in the Oki Islands of Shimane Prefecture, with local coins as rewards. At the same time, he clarified that Japan will strengthen its five-year development plan for startups, promoting the growth of Web3 and other digital and related emerging industries through measures such as investment and regulatory reform, hoping that Web3 will provide innovative power for Japan to cope with population decline, explore new paths for international cooperation, and achieve economic and social transformation, contributing to building a more vibrant development pattern at this once-in-a-century turning point.
